As written by our daughter: Namaste, I hope the following information helps you gather some idea about who I am and where I come from (literally and metaphorically). :) First off, you will find an exhaustive bunch of pictures giving you a glimpse into some of the facets of my life, which would indicate my spirit of exploration and independence. Independence is a seriously misconstrued term and by no means does it imply that by working outside the home does one become independent. It means that the girl is emotionally self-reliant, balances her role in the home/family and career; and has aspirations to serve society selflessly. This is who I am! I operate within multiple dimensions, in different relationships (with family, friends, extended circles, others in society, and in nature), each of which I value. The only constant in my life is my family (my parents, late grandmother, and sister). If it weren\'t for their support and upbringing, it is high unlikely that I would be doing any of the things that I have been able to do so far. I spend a lot of time getting to know myself and engage in spaces that are fulfilling in terms of relationships, work, cultural exchange and interaction with nature/environment. My \'personal life\' as well as \'professional life\' fundamentally depend on it.
About her Family
Both parents are born and brought up in South Delhi. They have been successful advertising professionals and currently run a registered trust with the endeavour to promote awareness about art and its value as a medium of communication and expression. Efforts are also being made towards altering perspectives around art in education. Sister (younger by 4 years) has a Masters degree in Sociology with Honours and is currently working in the field of documentary film making. Both sisters are very close and have common sets of friends. They also share common interests of exploration in the spaces of sustainability, environment, organic farming, documentaries, the arts and culture, relationships and philosophy. The four of us are very closely knit. Our relationships are also deep with extended family and friends (spread across the country and the globe).
Academic details under \'Education & Career\' head. Within the family both daughters received an education of being balanced, independent individuals - emotionally self reliant and capable of taking on responsibilities in any sphere they find themselves placed in. Exposure to the arts and culture have also made them adaptive, compassionate and freely expressive women who are sensitive to needs and respect for others. Our family often takes vacations, and over a span of several years, we have seen many remote parts of India (mostly by road) and sensitized ourselves to varying cultures and ways of life.
I am a fairly unconventional \'professional\', with very little focus on building finances and greater interest in how one can be of value to society. My education has equipped me with values of being of service to human society as well as the environment. My current research in sustainable architecture and living (in both, rural as well as urban contexts) stems from this. We are a socially as well as environmentally conscious family, so this path is natural to me. My academic background in history, archaeology and anthropology has allowed me to previously explore the fields of publishing, market research, art curation and cultural research.

Someone with the openness to appreciate an independent woman as a spouse. By independent one does not mean just financially so, one means mentally and spiritually too. The desired partner needs to be clear about the role of each member of the family towards each relationship, without a gender bias attached with it. Those who understand it, will know what one is trying to communicate here. Second very important trait is for him to be open to exploration of new ideas, different from what he may already be exposed to.
