I am a true Libra in the sense that I am all about leading a balanced life with no drama and negative emotional baggage, which I believe is useless & a waste of time.
I am about working hard & being independent as much as possible. I believe that I have many different beliefs about alot of things in life then most Indian girls, meaning my outlook/personal beliefs & values are somewhat different then most typical Indian girls. I am all about being independent and don't want to rely on anyone because I believe that when U depend on someone, U are giving them some form of control over U.
I don't believe much in having to be with someone from your caste system & all that. To me what matters most is how happy he makes me & how far he would be willing to go to make me happy as well. I am a kind generous hearted young lady looking to meet a caring, honest trustworthy man. Someone who is independent & does'nt demand too much. I was raised here in the states since I was 3 years of age, but having old fashioned Indian parents, I have learned to appreciate the best of both the eastern as well as western worlds, & have learned how to adjust & become a level-headed person due to the challenges I have faced throughout the years of trying to please myself as well as my parents. I have modern as well as old fashioned ways of thinking combined.
Chivalry never goes out of style, so I do appreciate it when a man opens the car door, surprises me with a rose, even a corny poem that he wrote, its the thought that counts.
I don't care what kind of Indian U are, whether Gujarati/South Indian or whatever, it's who U are which is more important. I have been in relationships in the past which turned out to be mistakes, although I have no regrets as I believe you only learn if you experience it rather then hear or read about it. I am a serious person, as well as someone who is childish at heart, who loves to laugh, so if you can make me laugh with corny, original jokes, thats a real turn on.
I am probably the girliest girl anyone can ever meet, at least thats what everyone who meets me says about me once they get to know me.
Its very easy to make me smile/laugh also just as easy to get me mad!)
What makes me happy?... Simple things... chocolate, my mom, the rain, GENUINE HONEST people, innocence, spending time with loved one doing nothing, being my COMPLETE SELF without anyone to judge me or criticize me, roses, the snow, talking about world issues, psychology, children... & the list goes on... but its for you to find out the rest;)
What makes me sad/upset? When theres no chocolate left for me:( LOL, Fake people, liars, disrespect, lies, ignorance, deceit, arrogance, lack of empathy towards others, people knowingly taking advantage of people/situations, rest is up to you to learn about me...
On a strange note: I am terrified of allll animals!!! LOL, Don't know why but even the cutest animals scare me, except Goldfish, guess cuz they just swim around in their bowl, hehe:)
I enjoy cooking, eating, reading.....

I love and cherish my parents, older brother and older sister. Of course, every family has their disagreements and ups and downs, but I manage to keep my cool and tell myself to be the bigger person and shrug things off. We have been in the states since I was 3 years of age, but my family is very traditional, so even though I was raised here, I still respect and have not forgotten my culture/heritage and I appreciate my parents more and more each day for not letting me forget it. We are of middle class in India as well as here in the states. Though the class/caste systems in kind of important to my parents, it is not important to me at all as I believe we are all people and shouldnt be judged based on our caste, skin color, race, or any other prejudging factor. I believe Love does'nt come in a certain color or race.

I received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology in May 2008. Previously I was a teacher at a daycare for 2 years while in school and loved it.
