I am truly a 'Third Culture Child'. What this means is that I have spent all my life outside my country of birth and have lived in a cross-cultural world.
I was born in India, and grew up in Zambia. I came to the USA to go to college. I went to an International school in Zambia. This was one of the most valuable experiences of my life.
My life goal and career goal is to become a Humanitarian, and go into the Field of Humanitarian Affairs/Aid Work. My dream is to work for the UN one day!
Right now I am actively involved with UNICEF and OXFAM-USA, and am working towards battling world poverty, hunger, diseases and advancing the lives of children and adults in critical conditions and poor countries. I truly believe one person can make a difference in the world. I am quite interested in International affairs, politics and economics.
I once heard a wise person say: 'Life is what you make of it'. This has stayed with me till today.
I love movies. of every single genre. And yes, documentaries, indi films and art films as well. One day maybe i'll make a documentary or a movie.
I am interested in meeting someone who will understand my background, goals and will respect me. He should speak fluent English and be well informed about the world.
I like people who 'think outside the box' and are open-minded.
Being genuine, caring, understanding and warm is really important as well. And if you are funny that is good too. What really makes me happy is someone who makes me feel that i am special... for instance, you could go/be anywhere in the world, but you would rather spend time with me.
Lastly, it is really important that you should be an optimistic person who encourages other people to succeed. I really don't enjoy the company of people who are not open-minded, complain all the time and/or are always discussing or criticizing other people.
