I am grateful to my family for the timeless values they have taught me by example, which in turn is manifesting by the abundance I am experiencing in life at this time. In general, I value depth and meaning in relationships and I am blessed with rich relationships with family and a wonderful circle of friends. I really enjoy creating an organized and beautiful home environment. I value being healthy and enjoy buying and cooking nutritious, healthful foods and I also exercise fairly regularly. I love learning, especially when I use newfound knowledge to improve my life. I have discovered that one of my passions is continuous improvement in all areas of life, especially crucial ones such as relationships, health, career and finances.
As far as my partner is concerned, agreement in spiritual beliefs is the only thing I am actively seeking in a person. I believe in the oneness of all religions and that God resides in each person. Many saints have upheld this fact throughout history and I happen to be a follower of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I would like my partner to belong to the Sai-fold as well.

Family
I have been blessed with wonderful parents, both of whom shared a deep love for learning. My father's side speaks Thanjavur Marathi and my mother's side speaks Tamil. However, my mother learned Marathi after marriage and I speak Marathi with her and Tamil with the rest of her family. My father used to work for the Central Govt. before he passed on when I was 8 yrs old. My mother worked also worked for the Central Govt. until she voluntarily retired in 2005. We share an excellent rapport; my mother is humble, warm and loving and is sure to treat the boy as her son.
I have one sister and I have a wonderful relationship with her. We're very close partly because we went to the same school and colleges and have similar interests in reading, discussing spirituality and science and quizzing. My sister did her PhD in the US and is working as a researcher at the University of Florida.
Extended family on my mother's side is quite large. I am close with a number of cousins and enjoy keeping in touch with them. Extended family on my father's side is smaller and I keep in touch with my paternal cousins.

Education
I recently completed an MS in Biophysics from The Ohio State University. I also have Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from India in Science, so I’ve been in school for a while! I came to the US and started a PhD program in Biophysics, but quarter-life crisis struck around 25 :) and I did some soul-searching because I wasn’t sure that a career in Science was right for me. I consider myself blessed to have gone to one of the largest universities in the US, where I could use career resources to explore and discover what I’m passionate about. I found many answers, but one that really stood out was the field of Organizational Development.
Occupation
I would enjoy working in the area of bettering human potential. This fits well into the field of Organizational Behavior and I plan on maybe going back to school to credential myself to work in this area. As of now though, I am looking for jobs in R&D since my background is in Science. To sum up, I would like to use my talents to make a difference in other’s lives. At the same time, I would want to care well for my family and would be willing to take short stints off or work part-time to maintain a good balance between work and the rest of my life. As of now, I work at the Univ. of Florida as a Bioscientist.
