My name is Pooja. I was born in India, moved to US when I was 11. Lived in Orlando ever since. All my immediate family is located in the US. So I dont see myself relocating to India anytime. (If I havent lost you yet.. keep reading!)


I enjoy living life. I am passionate about traveling and just being outdoors. My most recent vacation had me driving over 1000 miles around florida, went to key west, camped in the everglades, miami etc. It was fun. I love being around people, so I am a very very outgoing person. I have a lot of friends and enjoy spending time with them. I also like doing adventurous and extreme sports. I have done everything from skydiving, scuba diving, to wake/kite boarding as well as surfing. Actually surfing is kind of a passion for me. I love going out there in the morning and just being there with the sea. Its such a spiritual experience, its when I feel just so connected to the nature around me. I also enjoy traveling. I have been all over europe, some of central america, canada of course haha, india nepal etc. I have had the pleasure of growing up in a family that loved traveling. My parents especially loved the mountains, so that love has transfered over to me. I usually make a yearly trip to colorado, although sadly I have not had a chance to do that for the past 3 years due to a hectic school / work schedule.

I am currently in my last semester finishing my Bachelors in Health Sciences, I also work as a Psych Tech at the Behavioral Services facility at the local hospital. Its an interesting job and there is never a dull moment to say the least.After graduation I am going to China for a month and a half to teach kids english through Johns Hopkins University, then visiting my parents in Pune for the next month. When I come back around August I plan to start my MBA and work at a marketing company where I will be taking the CEO position in two years as soon as I am done with my masters.

I am also very active with social work. Recently I went to Russia on a trip to help out 26 different orphanages, which was an amazing experience. Also recently I did a trip to Mexico, Belize, and Guatamala to help out the underpriviledged people with housing, sanitation etc. Also I am actively involved in organizations such as invisible children and amnesty international. I suppose you can say I like to give back! :)

At the moment I am not looking for a big commitment, but rather that someone I could talk to and get to know and build a frienship with. Marriage is a big commitment so i want to take my time w/ it.

I am looking for someone w/ a similar background. Someone who has been in the US for a while and is planning to live here.

Hopefully, you have learned a little something about me now! I dont know but this almost seems business like, usually when I talk to someone though I am constanly joking around and laughing. A sense of humor is a very important thing to me. So hopefully you can reciprocate in that aspect!
