I was born and brought up in pune and had the good fortune of having the kind of parents who not only fostered in me the traditional values of our society but also encouraged me to take every chance to learn and grow; As such I am interested in everything that helps add value to myself. I am an avid reader and like to keep updated with the latest in everything from sports, to the economy to the movies (aside from readings related to my work). I am not a geek though and am very much interested in keeping myself fit and lifting weights and running are part of my daily regimen. I am actively involved in equities trading and spend a lot of time learning about different investment strategies. I am a lover of music and listen to everything from country, jazz to rock (though the last one is my favorite). I am an outdoors kind of person and running, playing tennis and cricket are my favorite activities. I am a movie buff and have an eclectic taste though I prefer comedies and dramas to other kinds.
My professional life started in India after I finished my BE in mechanical engineering from the Univ. of pune. I worked for a couple of years with Bajaj before I came here for my MS. Along with a lot of programming related classes, I had the good fortune of doing an internship with a local software firm before I started working as a CAD/CAM software engineer with a major CNC manufacturer in Indiana. After gaining valuable experience there I have recently moved to a major MNC and aim to reach the top of the corporate ladder in this company. It�s always been my endeavor to deliver the best and as such have always been commended for my work.
I have had a pretty decent life till now and would like to spend it similarly here after. I am looking for someone who really loves herself (likes to take care of herself both professionally and personally). Someone who prides being herself and is mature enough to face the ups and downs of a married life and would be able to face it with a happy smile. (Of course she could expect the same of me). I am looking for someone with a decent educational background (bachelors in science, engineering, architecture or medicine) and preferably working somewhere (the latter condition is not strict but I feel one should be able to support oneself in the worst situation).
