I hope to give you a snapshot about self while keeping it simple because I don't think this is a medium to exhibit my writing skills or any other achievements.
To start of my name is Jyotsna Jyoti. I grew up in Delhi, India and then moved to Toronto, Canada with my family about 8 years ago. I have had a cosmopolitan upbringing and have grown up on a healthy dose of Indian and Western cultures. Both the cultures have given me a chance to mix with people from diverse backgrounds. Thus I consider myself a very multicultural person.
Personality wise I have a very cheerful disposition and keep a positive outlook in life. Like a true Leo I have very elegant, classy, and eclectic taste. I am also very creative and have always been interested in art and painting.
I will be completing my Masters of Social Work degree with specialization in the mental health, health, and addictions area from University of Toronto, by December 2009. I wanted to give back to society and make a contribution in this world; therefore, I decided on social work as my career path. I work part-time with individuals who have a learning disability and develop unique individualized programs for them based on their needs. I help such individuals develop their motor and other related skills. My career is important to me but it does not dictate my whole existence; therefore, I do value the time I spend with my family.
I like cooking and it acts as a stress buster for me. Since I am an amateur in the field and no where a cook like my mother, therefore, my family is often a guinea pig for my experiments.
I do not have any set criteria regarding my life partner and am very flexible in all matters. My life partner could expect the same amount of cooperation from me. However, I would like to settle down in North America/Europe; therefore, do expect the same from my life partner. After having lived in Canada for 8 years I have become used to the environment and it is second home for me after India.
Hope I have been able to give an interesting account of self to pursue matters further. You can expect to be treated with respect, humility, honesty, and kindness from everyone in my family. Thank you for taking the time to glance at my profile.

My father is a Chartered Accountant from India and is currently working in the private sector in Canada. While in India he had worked in World Health Organization for more than 10 years. My mother has a Masters in Political Science and after raising us kids she is back to pursuing her career. She is a very easy going, jovial, and social person. I have inherited my sense of humour from her.
My sister recently completed her undergraduate education in Business Administration from York university, Toronto in summer 2009 and is looking forward to being attached with a CA firm. My brother recently completed his grade 12th and would be starting his undergraduate education in fall 2009.
My maternal grandfather has retired as a Major from the army. He is a mechanical engineer and had served during the Bangladesh war of 1971. My paternal grandparents live in Kolkatta and own their auto business. I have a large extended family who are spread throughout India, USA, and the UK.
