I had come home for a week's holiday and marriage was a hot topic at home those days. i was supposed to leave on 24th June 2014, so me and papa used to sit for an hour everyday @ jeevansathi to look out for suitable matches.. unknown of the fact that one day this website will in return give me the most awesome life partner or better half as they say. On 22nd June 2014, while surfing their request came across and i jumped out of my sofa yelling at my mother "Ladki mil gayi, ladki mil gayi" not knowing that this would really workout as most matches were missing out on something or the other.. I told mom, that you should pursue this girls'family and see if they wanna take it further, so she called them the same day, and as things take time, the girls'parents took 2 days to reply. By then i had came back to chennai, and almost forgot about this proposal only hen 3 days later mom said that they are going to meet this family, which gave me goosebumps bcoz, 1) i was Not there 2) this was the first ever family my parents are going to meet 3) if it goes well she will be the first ever girl i will talking to w.r.t marriage. so they met, things were ok, a week later our nos. got exchanged and 21st July 2014 i called her........... it was not that great "Kick nai aayi!! " after talking to her.. 22nd June 2014 i called her again "ägain kick nai aayi!! " 23rd June 2014 i was mentally prepared k aaj main bhi baat karunga.. and then when i started i just went on and on and on and on..... "kya kick aayi" then SMS's started calls were happening from 8-9 pm only within a week which got extended to 11 pm then we got added to each others facebook post which was a big interrogation round on how much do i drink or do i smoke etc etc.. then 2 weeks later came whatsapp and on 8th august we decided to meet as i was going to delhi for rakhi.. First meeting was with her and her elder sister, quite a shock i was only being pushed for quit drinking and nothing else.. i didnt even like the place we were sitting, but her elder sister was very sweet in a way an elder sister should be.. as i know myself, people i dont like in the first time are usually the ones i saty with them for the rest of my life.. my best frnds are like that too.. so, meeting Priyanka was a delight.. gorgeous girl!! next day we decided to meet alone in CP at bangla sahib gurudwara.. i was there waiting at patel chowk Metro station to pick her up.. The Moment she came out, wearing a royal blue chinos, yellow top with flowers embroidery hair tied and a thick kajal.. something stung me, hit me, a moment when i actually felt everything stopped and came back to life/motion again.. i wasnt sure of that feeling.. but within the next 2 hours i was so comfortable that i wanted to marry her post the lunch we had at big chills.. SHE SAID YES i anted to shout to people sitting in there but i kept my calm.. I wanted to Hug her tight but again i kept my calm. So, On the day of rakhi, in the evening, WE GOT ROKOED!! and 2nd october 2014 we got engaged, and on 30th Jan 2015 we are getting married. One advice to all Men out there " It takes a lot, for a girl to leave her family and life behind and move forward with a man she hardly knows.
