About her Family

FAMILY DETAILS : I come from a defence family with three generations having served in the Indian Army and have been brought up in the best of Army traditions. My maternal side (nanke) is mostly based out of California, USA and the extended family is based in Canada and United Kingdom. My maternal grandfather was an MLA whose portrait adorns the museum at 'Harmandir Sahib' (Golden Temple). 



My father is a retired Colonel from the Indian Army (Ex - National Defence Academy, Pune, India). My mother has been a home - maker so as to keep up with my father's frequent transfers. She is a religious, devoted and strong lady who has been the 'Pillar of our family'. An army officer's wife is a soldier at home who faces many battles on the home front. I have an elder sister married locally in a 'Jat Sikh" family to an engineer having their own businesses. She has a young teenage daughter, my adorable and loving niece. We are a small, close - knit family, looking for the right match

Schooling : I Studied at convent schools mainly at New Delhi and Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh)
Higher Education : I have a Masters Degree in Psychology after which worked at a school. 

Doctoral Degree : I completed and was awarded my Ph.D.(Doctoral) degree in 2019 which I pursued as Senior Research Fellow on a University Grants Commission Fellowship from Panjab University, Chandigarh. I am presently working in a leading University

Occupation

Also I have a passion to explore and have travelled around a bit and certainly would like to travel more in the future. I hold a 10 year USA B1/B2 Visa . The future unfolds in its own uncertain ways. Apart from this, I am friendly, jovial person who looks at the brighter side of life with faith in destiny and waheguru.
