About his Family

My father is a mechanical engineer, and has his own company for designing and manufacturing custom hydraulic equipment. My mother is a science graduate and a loving housewife and mother. I have one elder sister - she is a computer engineer working for a private firm.

All of them are on the spiritual / yogic path ("Shiv Yog")... I walk along the sidelines and prod them on. I have my own set of beliefs, mostly based upon the Gita and personal experience.

We stay together in a flat in the Grant Road area, and love and take care of each other. My mom and sister are both good cooks (and also pakao each other in the kitchen). We are a family of vegetarians.

I expect that my wife will also be a vegetarian, stay together with all of us, and reciprocate the care and understanding that she receives.

Programming has been my hobby since school days. After graduating as a B.E. in Electronics, I acquired a Diploma in Advanced Computing - and my hobby has been my career ever since.

I have chosen to work for a company where the work and colleagues both are nice and interesting, the timings are flexible, and I don't need to commute a whole lot. We make CAD software for semiconductor chips. My role here is of a technical architect / project lead.

Most Indian men seem to be looking for some imaginary goddess who is: beautiful and smart, educated at the same time good at household work, affectionate while also having a good sense of humour, and "a perfect blend of traditional values and modern outlook". ...
