About his Family

My father retired as AGM, State Bank of India, Bhopal Circle. My mother also retired as HGA from LIC of India, recently. My twin sister is married and works for a private firm in Chennai. We speak Marathi at home, but each of us is fluent in Hindi as well, having spent decades in MP. We can also converse comfortably in Tamil and to some extent in Kannada.

Education

Most of schooling was done in MP and Chattisgarh - Bilaspur, Raipur and Bhopal. I then got an admission in IIT Madras and completed my Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Electronics and minor in Classical Physics.

Occupation

I have been working for a private firm called Santa Fe Research in Chennai for almost 6 years now. Prior to this, I had a small stint of an year in Qualcomm, Bangalore where I worked as Physical Verification Engineer. At Santa Fe Research, we are a small research group supporting our parent firm in the US. Most of my work revolves around mathematical optimization, especially for signal processing, control systems and financial modelling. I see my career steering towards more of analytics with a mathematical/theoretical bent. I consider constant learning as essential part of my career. I also wish to work with larger research groups in bigger firms to enhance my professional experience further.
