Imagine trying to find a life partner on a matrimony portal . Doesn't it sounds complex .But luckily it turned out to be the opposite in my case. You are in a new place surrounded by new people while talking to them, you find that one among them shares a similar perspective to things as you do. I (Mallika Singhi) and Mihir Desai felt the same way when we found each other. We both were registered as a paid member on Jeevansaathi.com from the last couple of years , looking out for our soulmates but what’s meant to be will be. I glanced at his profile ,found out some common interest and had sent a request to him on 20th July 2020 ,he then accepted the same on 23rd July 2020 .On 25th July we exchanged our biodata on whatsapp along with some pictures and then it all started ."I was flattered when I saw his photo. He looked charming ,had a great personality and his smile was very cute." So after reading his profile, i decided to talk to him. The first day we were on call for more than 2-3 hours and we could feel some connection and we were not short of words at all. Then we decided to have a video call so we can get a better clarity of things. It was after we interacted that we found out that there were many similarities between us. "We both love exploring new places and cuisine .Our names start with the same alphabet(M).We had a vision and a proper life goal for ourselves which was very inspiring .We both were practical and clear about our priorities in life. We felt that we could learn alot from each other. I thought that we might be quite different from one another too but when he told me about his plans and goals in life, it felt like I was seeing a mirror" I felt like we were ‘made for each other' ,but wanted to take it slow and understand him more and know him as a person as this is a life long decision. Enormous chats and calls did not make us feel that we are in different places of the world(i was in India and he was in Canada), for us distance and time was just a number and not a blocker. We both were putting our efforts and time to know and connect to each other more and more. "We interacted for a couple of months before meeting and I was quite sure by then that he is the one for me with whom I wish to spend my entire life with. Then finally we took it ahead ,spoke to our parents about it , spoke to each other's family members and then Mihir decided to fly to India to come and meet me ,so on 13th Nov 2020 he came and we met and on the first day of our meeting. After numerous meetings , outings and conversations by God’s and Parent’s blessings we decided to get married on 22nd Dec 2020 with a small ritual following marriage registration. Our journey has been great so far with both happy and sad moments and we are really thankful to each and everyone involved around us throughout this time .There’s a bright future and life ahead of us and we wish we live a happy married life ahead with sticking to each other in thick and thin.
