I bumped into Vijaya on the Jeevansathi app at the peak of the second wave of the pandemic . It was April 2021 …emotionally and physically it was the most challenging time for both of us . I was in Ahmedabad , she was in Jabalpur—two states and 900 kms apart . Her mom was battling covid and things were exactly the opposite of what we generally see in romantic bollywood flicks - “girl meets boy and they instantly fall in love and everything falls in place and they live happily ever after” ….falling in love took some time and a whole lot of patience :) …but what we experienced was something surreal …we both somehow kept in touch on the chat interface on Jeevansathi ….kept giving each other “pep talks”…lifting each other’s spirits in these dark times whenever we could steal a bit of precious time for ourselves….it took patience but whenever we spoke , we lost track of time and temporarily forgot our hardships…..and before we knew , hours turned into days and days into months but most importantly all that time cemented our bond ….today , we’re happy to share that we’ve decided to spend eternity together
