It started with my parents sending an interest to her profile. Her parents accepted the interest and our families decided to meet. We met and liked each other & our families liked each other. Then we met 2-3 times before getting engaged. My suggestion would be to be honest & open about yourself and do not create fake image by posting something you are not.
