“Good relationships don't just happen. They take time, patience, and two people who truly want to be together”. My elder brother created Jeevansathi (JS) id on my behalf. Initially I was a bit reluctant towards the concept of arranged marriage. It was really difficult for me to visualize myself leaving my comfort space (home) to spend the rest of my life with some stranger (well… comparatively!). Thankfully Jeevansathi provided me the platform to bridge the required gap and I’m quite happy to share my story with fellow users of JS. My soul mate (Mr. Yogi, as I fondly call him) took the initiative and conveyed interest in my profile somewhere in Oct 2014. After the initial “due diligence” which typically happens in the context of any Indian marriage, our families got in touch with each other over phone. We planned a meeting where our families met for the first time. That was the time, when I felt really comfortable with Yogi. Both of us enjoyed each other’s company and exchanged our phone numbers. We connected with each other from the very first day of our meeting and this was the inception of our relationship which was graduating from arranged marriage to love marriage. Small talks started turning into longer ones. We shared anything and everything ranging from our daily routine, family, friends, likes, dislikes and hobbies. Eventually we started dating each other. Coincidentally, my sister-in-law and Mr. Yogi were classmates during their school days and their families knew each other very well. It was really a pleasant surprise for both of us. Though there were minor hiccups during our dating period (as any love story demands), our love and respect for each other withstood every hurdle. Finally we got engaged in Apr 2015 and tied the knot on 26th Nov 2015. Itni shidaat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai,ki har zaare ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai.Kehte hain ki Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to puri kayanat usey tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.Aaj aap sabh ne mujhe meri chaahat se milaeya, thank you, thank you very much. Main aap sabki shukar guzaar hoon.Ki aapne mere kwabon ko yakeen mein badal diya, itna ki I feel like the Queen of the World. Aur aaj, is baat ka bhi yakeen ho gaya, ki humari filmon ki tarah humari zindagi mein bhi end mein sab theek ho jaata hai. Happys Endings. Aur agar, aur agar theek na ho to woh the end nahin hai dosto, picture abhi baaki hai.“ Well, that sounds too filmy but we feel the same. JS gave me a platform to fall in love with my soul mate.
