Akhil Parekh weds Aanchal Pandya
After traditional methods of finding a partner didn't work, I opened an account on Jeevansathi couple of years back. Great thing about this site is that it helps connect you to like-minded people with similar core values. In a way, I was fortunate that similar to me - my fiancee was also managing her own profile. This way we both connected directly with each other and took our time getting to know each other. Initially, we connected over phone/whatsapp. At that time we were in different cities, but we made it a point to stay connected and soon we met face to face. After few months, when we thought the time was right we involved our families and soon after that we decided to take the leap of faith. One advice I would give to all is that do not consider this site or this process as a shopping mall and do not get into comparison mode. Once you feel a connection with someone, it is important to give the relation some time and let it grow instead of just jumping from one to another or talking to many people at the same time. I must admit that in our case we have both had phases where we have been cynical about the site and the process and even had doubts about the idea of marriage itself. We have both had our share of meeting people which did not result into anything favourable. I think this is all part of the process, and ultimately it’s not about searching for the right one, it is about making yourself the right one for your partner. If you have seen the movie Kung Fu Panda, you will know that there is no secret ingredient. Eventually everything works out well and it is all okay. :)
