The Angikula community is believed to be originated from the fire lineage, and is the Rajput clan according to the division in Indian caste system. For their wedding ceremony, the Angikula bride wears lehenga and chunni, or heavy saris, in bright colours, mainly red or pink. The ornaments, which Angikula brides wear, include a mangtikka or a Rakhdi on her forehead, a bajuband, bangles, neckpieces, anklets, etc., made up of gold. The in-laws of the bride gift her the wedding dress and jewellery.
