Dhobi is an occupational community in India and members are engaged in the profession of washing dirty clothes. The community members are scattered in states of North India, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The Dhobi community adapts to the customs and traditions of the settlement place. The wedding rituals also have influence of the states. Male and women members both are actively engaged in the profession. The Dhobi Grooms follows their rituals and traditions and mostly marry within their community.
