Gudia community is the tribal community, who belong to Orissa. Traditionally, Gudia grooms are involved in preparing sweets, which is their main occupation. Gudias are known to prepare special sweets on various ceremonial occasions, such as weddings and festivals. Like other Indian communities, a Gudia groom weds within the same caste. Gudias are very orthodox about their customs and rituals, and do not believe in the concept of inter-caste wedding or other alliances.
