Jains are the followers of Jainism, a religion that prescribes the path of non violence towards every living being. Jain businessman prefers a matrimonial match for his children from business families only. Since the community of Jains does not believe in wasting time and money, there is no tradition of negotiating dowry before marriage. A Jain wedding is performed traditionally by Jain pundits and grand celebrations are made. The elders of both the families then bless the newly married couple.
