New Delhi Kayasthas, who have Chitragupta as their ancestors, are a social group of people living in the capital of India. Kayastha's traditions and rituals are a mix of Brahmin and Kshatiyas, due to which they are known to have the status of dual- varnas. Kayasthas are mainly found living in the northern parts of India, especially in the capital city, i.e. New Delhi. Marriages in Kayasthas are celebrated according to the Hindu cultures and being in Delhi, marriages are lavishly practised.
