Agnikula is the community belonging to the Agnivansha. Agnikula community is believed to be descended from Agni, the God of Fire. The Agnikula lineage is one of the three lineages of the Kshatriya or Rajput caste of Hindus. The sub castes of Agnikula are Parmar, Parihar, Bhadauria, Chalukya and Chauhan. The Agnikula matrimony involves marriages between the sub castes, and not within the same sub caste. The rituals followed in the Agnikula matrimony are similar to other Rajput wedding ceremonies.
