Rajputs, the sons-of-kings, are a sub-group of Hindu Kshatriya Varna. They are broadly divided into three major Vansh and 36 major clans including the Kumarpala Charita of Jayasimha, and Prithviraj Raso of Chand Bardai. Rajputs are highly dominant and royal warriors of the Indian Subcontinent and have ruled more than four hundred of the estimated six hundred princely states. Rajasthan is the hub of most of the Rajputs, who either serve the Indian army or are employed in their own business.
