Ramgarhia is an ethnic tribe that is believed to be named after Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, the leader of the Ramgarhia Misl. The term ‚Garh‚„ stands for fort and ‚Ram‚„ is the Lord, therefore, Ramgarhia means ‚Custodians of the Castle of God‚„ or ‚Builders of the Fort‚„. This community originated from the state of Punjab in North India and its members speak in Punjabi, Hindi, English as well as other regional languages. This clan is usually considered to be the most orthodox follower of the Guru.
