Sindhis are a socio-ethnic group originating from Sindh, a province of Pakistan. Sindhis who reside in Pakistan belong to various religious denominations including Muslim, Zorastrian, Hindus and Christians. After the Partition of India, a large number of Indian Muslim refugees (Muhajirs) flocked into Pakistan and settled in the prosperous Sindh region and Sindhi Hindus migrated to India in huge numbers. Sindhi culture is highly influenced from Sufism and respects Jhulelal, the Sufi pioneer.
