Punjabis constitute one of the largest ethnic groups in South Asia, both culturally and linguistically. Punjabi Chandigarh community is formed by the Punjabi speaking people who are settled in 'The City Beautiful', Chandigarh. The population of Chandigarh has approximately 80% Hindus and more than 16% Sikhs which means most of them are Punjabi Hindus. Even though the culture of this region is chiefly influenced by Punjabi culture, it has a cosmopolitan identity and is known for its urban setup.
