The Vishwakarmas of Kerala are known as Viswa Brahma. The Viswa Brahma grooms are mainly into the professions of carpentry, masonry, sculpture, and bronze, gold or ironwork. The Viswa Brahma grooms are traditional wooden ship makers of northern Kerala, whereas some of the Viswa Brahma grooms are also appointed as priests. For their wedding, the grooms wear a silk dhoti wrapped around the waist, paired with elegant footwear, which remains plain and simple, and give the grooms a traditional look.
