Yadav is a Chandravanshi Kshatriya caste of Hindu Varna system. Hindu Yadavs follow Vaishnav traditions and worship Lord Krishna. Yadavs are mostly found in north India and believe in following their traditions and rituals in its pure form. Marriages among Yadavs happen within the community through arranged marriage custom. A Hindu Yadav bride usually wears saree or lehenga on her wedding day and performs Hindu wedding rituals such as Haldi ceremony, mehndi ceremony, grah shanti puja and so on.
