All Bengali's originally are natives to the historic state of Bengal and Bangladesh. They speak Bengali which is an indo-Aryan language evolved from Magadhi Prakrit and Sanskrit languages. A large number of Bengali's live outside Bengal in the states of Jharkhand, Tripura, Assam, Bihar etc.
Hindus in Bengal mainly worship Goddess Durga and Durga Puja is their main festival besides celebrating Diwali, Holi, and other Hindu festivals. Rabindranath Tagore is the most famous Hindu Bengali in India.
