Bengali Muslims are an ethnic community native to the historic region of Bengal in South Asia. They speak Bengali, an Indo-Aryan language of the Indian subcontinent, evolved from the Magadhi Prakrit and Sanskrit languages. In West Bengal, Muslims make up about one-fourth of the population i.e. around 25%.
Marriage for Bengali Muslims is a civil contract which consists of an offer and acceptance between two qualified parties but in the presence of two witnesses and follow Quran for marriage laws.
