Shwetamber is one of the two main sects of Jainism that does not believe in idol worship. 'Shwetamber' means “white clad” describing the practice of wearing white clothes. They are also known as Sthankavaasi and live a very simple life and are mostly Businessman. Shwetamber Jain's are an affluent sect in Gujarat with significant population. Palitana, Girnarhills, Vatanam are popular pilgrim places of worship for Shewtamber's. Jain's believe in non-violence and are followers of vegetarianism.
