Himachali Muslims may be in minority as compared to Hindus but enjoy equal rights. The main language of the region is Hindi even as many people speak Pahari and its various dialects. The day to day food of Himachali Muslims is very similar to the rest of the north India but some of their specialties include Pateer, Bhagjery, Patrode, Sidku, Beduan, Chutney, Madra, Khatta and Ambua.
Himachali people have good access to quality education through some of the premier institutes like IIT, NIT, etc.
