Himachali Hindus are simple people who love color and celebrate births, marriages, festivals and community gatherings with song and dance. Their dress patterns follow the local climate while their caps indicate the region they come from. Most of the land in the state is owned by Himachali Hindu Rajputs, Brahmins and Mahajans.
Himachali Hindu Rajputs are descendants of immigrant Rajputs who had come to establish small princely states or were driven by Muslim invaders. They are good soldiers.
