Arora's belong to the ancient city of 'Aror' situated on the banks of indus river. Most of the Arora community is Hindus and Sikhs. It is an indo-Aryan community in Punjab that belong to Kshatriya varna within Hindu caste system. They are usually bilingual and speak Punjabi and Hindi fluently. Aroras after 1947 partition migrated to various parts of India and a significant population at that time migrated to Delhi. Today, Delhi has a large population of Arora's engaged in various professions.
