According to 2001 census figures, out of total population of Delhi which is 1.33 crore, large number of Sikh population approximately 599,557 lives in Delhi. Hindi is the informal and dominant language in Delhi spoken by all castes and cultures.
Two major shrines of Sikhism Gurudwara Rakabganj and Gurudwara Bangla Saheb are located in Delhi. Sikhism is a dominant religion in Delhi which is followed by lot of Hindu Punjabi's as well. Majority of the Sikhs in Delhi belong to business community.
