Jat, a historical Indo-Aryan tribal group is among the most prosperous groups in the country. They are native to the states of Punjab, Haryana, Jammu, Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. There are more than 30 million Jats in India of which almost 50% are Hindu Jats and speak in Haryanvi or Rajasthani. Hindu Jat Defence is the community of people who believe in Hinduism, belong to the caste of Jats and offer Defence services. They are a forward class in India with some under OBC category.
