Kannada Brahmins are Brahmin people who natively speak Kannada language. Kannada speaking people are referred to as Kannadigas and most of them hail from south Indian state of Karnataka. Kannada Hindu Brahmins are known to have preserved the purest form of Vedic Hinduism.
The rituals performed in Kannada marriage are similar to those followed in Hindu weddings. But being observed in Karnataka, there are various differences as well. Some of the ceremonies are Nandi, Huvan, Saptapadi and others.
