Orissa state is located on the east coast of India and is known as the temple state of India. Majority of the population speaks Oriya language and follow Hinduism and Buddhism. The wedding among Oriya people is a very simple affair where the Orissa bride is clad in simple clothes mainly in white and gold color saree. The wedding usually happens in the temple or at bride's house and does not involve any kind of extravaganza. The Oriya marriages are very customary and are mostly arranged marriages.
