Vadodara is also called 'Sayaji Nagari' by many after Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the famous ruler. Vaishnav community is a part of Hindus with the only difference in their devotion to Lord Vishnu. Vaishnav Vadodara is referred to the community of Vaishnavs living in modern Baroda.
Vaishnav Vadodara celebrates marriage in an elaborate style following all the customs. The bride wears a bright colored silk sari usually red that is embellished with fine embroidery zari work along with a choli.
