Yadavas call themselves as Somavanshi Kshatriyas, but for many high caste Hindus they come in the category of Shudras. Yadavas are spread throughout India and includes the Raos of Haryana, Abhirs of Northern India, Gwallas of U.P, Ghoshals of Bengal, Reddis of Andhra Pradesh and so on and so forth.
Yadavas preach Vaishnavism i.e. preachers of lord Krishna. Mauyas, Chalukyas and Rashtrakutas all belonged to Yadava clan. The contribution of Yadavas to the multiple culture of India is immense.
