Malayalee Christians form the third largest group in Kerala and are a Malayalam speaking Christian community. They have blended well with the changing socio-cultural environment of the region becoming Indian Christians. Malayalee Christians find unity in a common history and faith despite being a heterogeneous group.
Marthomites are the followers of Mar Thoma Church in Kerala and Passion Week is their most important festival. Marthoma weddings are usually held on either Thursdays or Saturdays.
