UP Kayastha is a caste belonging to the social group of people living in the Uttar Pradesh district of India. UP people speak Hindi and other dialects of Hindi language. Northern India is the main region, where most of the UP Kayasthas can be found having their habitats. The traditions of the UP Kayastha, declares them to be having the status of the dual varnas- the Brahmin and the Kshatriyas. Chitragupta is the deity, from whom they derive their tradition and who is revered as their ancestor.
