It is believed that Hindu Jaiswal originally belong to either 'Jais' in Rajasthan or 'Jayas' in U.P. They are classified as Somavamshiya Sahatrarjun Kshatriya and is a trading community dealing in iron scrap processing, iron ore and other manufacturing fields.
