Telugu Muslim Sunni are the people who follow Sunni Islam by religion and are born in a Telugu ethnic community. Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are considered as the authentic hadiths, by the Telugu Muslim Sunnis. A large number of Muslims worldwide practise the Sunni Islam, while others are known as Shia Muslims. A significant number of Telugu Muslims can be found living in Hyderabad region of Andhra Pradesh, as well in other parts of the country like Karntaka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.
