U.P is the most populated state situated in the northern India. Among many languages, Hindi is the most understood language of U.P. Hindi language is spoken in many dialects in Uttar Pradesh such as Urdu, Khariboli, Braj bhasha, Bhojpuri, Awadhi and Dogri.
A large population of Muslims which is 18% of the total U.P population is settled in this region and hold significant importance in India's polity. Many prestigious universities are located in U.P state such as Aligarh Muslim University.
