Kashmiri Hindu Brahmin are also famously known as Kashmiri Pundits originating from Kashmir state of India. They are worshippers of lord Krishna and are also known as Vaishnavs. Kashmiri Brahmins follow vedic teachings and customs and celebrate Diwali, Holi and Janamashtmi as their main festivals. Today, most of the Kashmiri Hindu's are settlled in Jammu and National Capital Region of India. Their common surnames are Kaul, Bhatt, Tikoo, Pandit, Munshi, Razdan, Kher, Wanchoo, Wali and so on.
