About her Family

We have two daughters. Our elder daughter completed her schooling from Modern High School, Kolkata  She completed her B.Com Advance Accountancy (Hons)  from Shivnath Shastry College (South City) Kolkata. During her Second year in college she got married. It was an arranged marriage. She completed graduation after marriage and  shifted permanently to Delhi.  She did her MBA from Durham University, UK through the British Counsil, New Delhi.  She worked for almost 5 years.  She left her job after the birth of my grand daughter in 2006.  She had her second baby (boy) in 2009.  Currently, she is running her own recruitment firm specializing in placement in C Positions.
 
My son-in-law, is Electrical Engineering from from IIT Kanpur. He did his  MBA in Systems & Finance from  IIM, Kolkata and his PhD in  Computer Science from IIT Delhi.  He is currently working in MNC, in Gurgaon as Director, Govt. Affairs, .  He is also an adjunct professor in IIT Delhi and a visiting faculty in IIM Kolkata. They live in  New Delhi.

My husband, retired recently from IBM India after serving 13 years with 3 extensions.  Manager Finance, Manager Business Operations- Global Delivery and Manager RESO Governance were positions held by him in IBM.
 
I am working with a MNC in South Delhi  as Deputy Manger in the IT Department.
 
My husbands family hails from Faridpur in East Bengal. My father in law was MA in English Literature from Calcutta University. By religion we are Hindu and by cast Barindra Bramhin (Kashyap Gotra). We have our own house in   Kolkata, which is close to Bengal Ambuja  and Peerless Hospital near the EM Bypass.

Education

My daughter did her early schooling (from Lower KG to Class 5) from Modern High School, Ballygung, Kolkata.  We shifted to Delhi when my husband joined IBM India, as Manager Finance, in 1997 after serving in ICI India Limited, Kolkata for 23 years.  She studied in Greenfields Schools, Safdarjung Enclave from Class 6 to class 12.  She played basketball for the school and played in the district championship as well.   After passing Class 12  though she got admission to BCom in Vekateshwara College but she decided to do BBA instead. She completed her BBA from the well known women university in Rajesthan named Banasthali Vidhyapeeth (Jaipur Campus).  On completion she went on to do her MBA majoring in Human Resources from ICFAI Business School, Pune (2 years full time).

Occupation

Immediately on completion of MBA she joined a renowned IBM Global Process Services (erstwhile IBM Daksh) and worked there for 9 months. She is currently working in the Corporate HR with a Telecom giant in Gurgaon and looks forward to a long career with them..
