Anirban Roy weds Sujata Bhattacharya
"How our paths had crossed is very strange and Jeevansathi was the vehicle that got us in contact." - Anirban Roy & Sujata Bhattacharya. Sujata's Story: "We were first meant to meet in Nov 2001 but I had cancelled our meeting as I thought that Anirban and other Resident Indians would not be on the same wave length as me and also thought that I would not be able to live in India as I was so used to everything in England. My parents got very disappointed as they had liked Anirban's family and from his e-mails and phone calls, they had liked him also. The two families had met through Ananda Bazaar Patrika, a noted Bengali daily . Anyway to cut a long story short, in early 2002, My family members had placed my profile for me in JeevanSathi.Com. Jeevansathi had sent my profile to Anirban and he thought that I had sent it to him. He mailed me saying "I see you're still hubby hunting." I thought that he must have seen my profile and then sent this e-mail. (Before this, my mother kept on telling me to contact Anirban again but I was hesitant as last time he had travelled from Delhi to Calcutta all the way, just to meet me and I thought there would be no way that he'd agree to meet me.) I then replied and eventually after a couple of months on the net, discovering that I had a lot of things in common in terms of our wave length, met Anirban and found that we got along with each other real well. We got married on the 15th December 2002. In the husband hunting process, I had met five other Guys who took away my hope that there are nice Indian guys. Anirban was the very last and the best one I had met. Now we've been married 3 months approx. We share everything together and are always together. Marrying Anirban is the best thing I've ever done. Thank you JeevanSathi - We believe you are genuinely helpful and a fantastic matrimonial site for Indians. God had nudged us into your direction. You really know how to match profiles!" Anirban's story: "It was a dream come true for me. I never wanted to get married in the first place when my parents forced me to decide on getting married, and when I turned 28, I finally decided to keep my parents happy . I was always the kind of a "go-getter" who wanted to achieve a target once the goal was set. I asked my parents to advertise in almost all the good newspapers in Kolkata (Hometown) and Delhi (That's where I live)…Statesman, Anada Bazar Patrika, Times of India etc., all for months and months together. My parents had the job of talking to each of the families and I was given to choose. One fine day, I realized that it was almost two years over that I was looking for my life partner. Isn't it amazing that we came across almost 600 families and I have personally met about 65 families for this purpose and rejected each one of them because of my disliking and lack of eagerness to get married. I could imagine the disappointment of my parents for me not being able to choose my girl. Sujata was possibly the only girl whose profile and looks impressed me and I thought of meeting her and as it had to be, she was the only girl to reject me. That did leave me disappointed for the first time, and things were worse after that. Then my dad told me to get registered to a website for this purpose and I do remember my dad even sending me the draft for JeevanSathi in Delhi to force me to get registered…..and you know the rest of the story Sujata wrote….I have now got my dream girl and I thank JeevanSathi profusely to make it happen….I just pray that that many many couples all over the world get their life partners in such an exciting manner."
