Manasi weds Vijay
We (Vijay & Manasi) thank Jeevansathi.com for helping us find our soul mates in each other. We got married on 17 Dec 2005. Both of us are IT professionals. So, we both are 'Net Savy'. No wonder, when we decided to search for life partners both of us decided to take help of Internet. That's when we registered our profiles on Jeevansathi.com. Another reason for searching the life partner on Internet was that we both were not much impressed by the traditional aproach where the prospective bride and groom meet amongst a crowd of relatives. We were more inclined towards 'one-to-one' dialog right from initial phase. It was the last week of July when I first had a look at Manasi's profile when I was using the 'Two way match' facility. I found Manasi's profile interesting and I contacted her. I got her reply the very next day and it was a positive one !! We also shared our email and chat id's with each other. We decided to exchange each other's views about ourselves, about the desired match and about the expectations from life. We thought chatting would be a nice way to do that in initial phase. So, we started chatting. We used to chat daily for about 1-2 hours. This continued for about a week. We discussed most of things we had decided to before taking any steps ahead. We found that our views, opinions, likes and dislikes, expectations matched to a great extent. We had become comfortable chatting with each other , in fact we started enjoying it !!! We had also exchanged our cell numbers by now. One day I thought why not meet each other now ? I was supposed to travel abroad for my office work very soon. So, it was necessary for us to meet before that. So, I took out my cell and called Manasi. I was pleased to hear her voice. I suggested her my idea of meeting and she quickly agreed to it !! So we met for the first time on 2 August 2005 evening at a restaurant called "Rangoli" . Initially we both were a bit shy and nervous as we were meeting for the fisrt time. We were not talking much. But after some time, we started getting comfortable and started talking more and more. Besides talking on marriage related things we also had some casual chat. We spent about two hours together. It was such a wonderful meeting and it helped us to know each other in great detail. After that meeting, I went home and started thinking about Manasi and our interaction so far. I thought that Manasi was the kind of Jeevansathi I was looking for. In fact I realized that probably I had started liking her. I thought it was the time now to convey this to her . The very next day I dropped her an email conveying my feelings to her. I was kind of excited while writing that mail. To my pleasure, I got her reply in few hours. She said she also had the same feelings for me. That was just what I wanted. Although we both had selected each other as "JeevanSathi", approval from parents was an absolute necessity for going ahead. We set up a meeting with parents at my house. Fortunately, our parents also supported our decision. Then there was a final meeting on 11 August 2005. That day our parents took a final decision to make Me and Manasi each other's JeevanSathi. We got engaged on 17th August and the marriage date was decided as 17 Dec 2005. We enjoyed a lot of "Dating" (with each other) between our engagement and marriage. Finally on 17 Dec 2005, we got married and we started a new life togather. "Somewhere someone is made for you" ....I'm not sure whether this is true or not. But I think Internet is a great tool to find out who is made for you and where he / she is.
