From My Wife:
They say that you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you meet your Prince Charming, but, maybe the real trick is in avoiding the frogs altogether. Over the years I went through my share of toads but never gave up hope that my Prince Charming would one day show up. I watched all those romantic movies that claimed that true love exists. If it could happen to Julia Roberts, it could happen to me.
I found several profiles in Jeevansathi that I was interested in, but, upon reading the fine print, I discovered that many men had a very specific woman in mind, and that I was not her, so there was no reason for me to conform to their little pond when I was quite happy in my own. I continued to look, one day found one interesting prospect. What set him apart was that his profile was completely genuine, in that every word sounded sincere; he said that hes an honest person by heart who believes in leading his life in a positive manner. An open minded, outgoing, friendly person but also believes in traditional values and morals. Loves his family the most & believes in living life to the fullest.
He responded soon after I showed my interest in him. We chatted online for a couple of weeks, with me always considering whether or not this man was a prince, or a frog. I decided that I wanted to hear his voice, to see if it matched the one that I could hear in my head when I read his words, and it did. When phone calls were no longer enough, we set up a date to meet (our first date was in Pune). We never felt any pressure to rush into anything, and as a result, there was an ease and flow to our relationship that continues to this day.
Through the entire meeting process, one thing was certain; we were both very honest about ourselves, and our goals and intentions. Had he not been that way, I would have moved on. I feel very strongly about the character of a potential partner, that sexual chemistry is wonderful and important, but the bedrock of a relationship is mutual respect and trust. I was able to find that with this man. We are getting married next year by April 2009.
I really do feel as though I met my Prince Charming, and I believe that you can, too, if you will allow it to happen. Keep your heart and mind open, but, remember that you shouldn't have to change who you are to be accepted. Listen closely to your inner voice; let it be your guide. If something doesn't feel right, then, it probably isn't, no matter how hard you struggle to make it so.
Amit and I both would like to thank Jeevansathi for bringing us together. I wish and hope that everyone finds true love on here & that they have a great success story to share.
Thank you Jeevansathi, for making it possible for me to meet man of my dreams.
Love Nidhi
